Report automation at ALCT
Cut report time by up to 85%, from 5 to 15 minutes down to under 2, saving 500+ hours a year by replacing a Crystal Reports and Excel workflow with a C#, Blazor and SQL web app.
Computer science, University of Waterloo
I'm a computer science student who looks at an existing workflow, asks why it takes so long, and rebuilds it. My internship report tool cut report time by up to 85%, saving 500+ hours a year. I'm looking for spring co-op roles starting in May 2027.
Two projects, each of which started with a workflow I questioned. I lead with the result, then how I rebuilt the process.

I questioned the QR-scan-and-type way of swapping contacts and built a cross-platform Bluetooth prototype that finds nearby phones in 2 s at up to 10 m. Tested with 5 people, then shelved it when customer interviews showed no path to monetization.
I'm in the Honours Co-op computer science program at the University of Waterloo. I question the way things are done, especially when a process costs people time, and I build the tool that does it in a fraction of that.
Before Waterloo I founded the Dawson Business Association, a student entrepreneurship community that grew from 0 to 50+ members. In summer 2026 I interned at ALCT, where I replaced a slow report workflow and saved 500+ hours a year. I'm looking for spring co-op roles starting in May 2027, ideally on a team where I can own a feature from design through to release.
